BEST AND WORST!

My favorite part about this book is when they met August and she let her and Rosaleen stay in her home. I think August is a very caring and warm hearted person to let the girls stay in her home. Plus the girls have been in enough trouble as it is.

The worst part about this book is when Rosaleen got beaten by the men that she poured the snuff spit on.

river weekend!

Over the weekend my friends and I went to the river for like two days. I got much tanner. We played in the water for awhile and then it got too cold. Sunday my girl friends and I went over to my friends house and we all watched movies and ate candy and had fun.

Queen bee!

I think the queen bee in this book is August because she runs the house, the honey business, her land.she tell all the girls what to do but in a nice way. Like chore wise.

SECRET LIFE OF BEES

The author is a very good good writer, the words she uses are very discriptive she discribes them as if she is reanacting the whole storie.

THIS WEEKEND!

Well this weekend me and my mom are going to a high school rodeo in McMinnville Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My dad and my brother and me all rodeo. My brother and father are bull riders and I'm a barrel racer. We have been rodeoing our whole life so its nothing new. I love it. its a blast.

• Lily could have waited until Rosaleen got out of jail and they both could have ran away together instead of breaking out of jail and the hospital.

• Lily could have visited Rosaleen in jail..Lily couldn't have stopped Rosaleen from pouring that chew spit on the white man's shoes.

My Best Friend Danielle
Well to start off she is an outgoing person, and always wants to have fun. We kind of have the same style in clothes, but totally NOT boys. She is always there for me when things get tough. Danielle is very out spoken. She will tall you how it is sometimes, but other than that she is a sweet girl. We are like two peas in a pod. She is always smiling, but if anything doesn't go her way oh god she will throw a fit. She thinks she is always right at everything (ha) and she's not but I will always love her, She is like another sister to me. I wouldn't get a new best friend if somebody paid me cause money can't buy friendship.

• Lily try ed to let those silly bees out of the jar, she even try ed laying it on its side. They were still in the jar when she woke up in the morning.

• lily just turned fourteen.

• Rosaleen and lily were told to get in the police car,but only Rosaleen was arrested.

• lily and Rosaleen were glad they couldn't here the men yelling out mean word at them.

Sue Monk Kidd

Sue Monk Kidd was born in a small town called Sylvester, Georgia. She has always wanted to be a writer ever since she was a little girl. Sue majored in nursing and graduated in 1970 from Texas Christian University with a degree. Her first book she wrote was God's Joyful Surprise. The civil rights movment started in the 1950's and 60's. Blacks could not vote, the were virtually powerless to prevent whites from segregating all aspects of southern life. The reconstruction governments had passed laws opening up economic and political opprotunities for blacks. By 1877 the Democratic party had gained control of government in Southern states, ans those Southern Democrats wanted to reverse black advances made during reconstruction. Blacks had seperate schools, resturants, parks and transpertation.

I Remembered...

It was the middle of the night and suddenly I remembered I was so busy doing my history and math that I forgot to study for my midterm tomorrow. So I get up and turn my lamp on and sit at my desk and start studying. Suddenly I hear something scratch on my window. I got scared and thought I should go to bed. I've been studying for and hour and a half. So I turn my lamp off and run and jump into bed. I lay there thinking gosh I'm gonna be tired tomorrow.
